The Holidays are finally here. Traditions of the Holidays are to hang lights and sing Christmas carols. For the friends and families on Greenfield in West Allis, they're preparing for the biggest event of the year, Candy Cane Lane. It goes through Dec. 1-28 from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. every night. It starts on 92nd street and goes through 96th street. Out of 250 homes, 200 are decorated with lights and Christmas fun. Not only is it a sight to see, it raises money towards MACC (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc.) The event is free but donations are appreciated. A must see is the Holiday Tree of Lights that consists of 8,000 lights. So find some time and spend the evening to enjoy amazing scenery and the great feeling of giving as well.

For the 14th year in a row the Country Springs Hotel is hosting Country Christmas, Wisconsin's largest drive-through Christmas light display. A 1.5 mile wooded trail on the grounds of this Waukesha hotel and resort is covered in animated light displays including a 35 foot light tunnel. This holiday treat runs daily til Jan. 2 and admission is only $15 per carload.

For the little ones, Country Springs is also hosting a Brunch with Santa on Sunday Dec. 13 and Dec. 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reservations are required in advance and tickets are $10.95 for children 3-12 and $18.95 for adults. Please call (262) 547-0201 for more information.

On Dec. 12 and 13, Miracle on 34th St. is taking place at the Waukesha Civic Theatre in Historic Downtown Waukesha. Also, only on the Dec. 12 is the Waukesha Santa Charity Run/Walk in Historic Downtown Waukesha. This charity is to benefit the Food Pantry of Waukesha County, The Salvation Army, and Hebron House.
