Fashoinista, Help!

Dear Fashionista,
My girlfriend and I have been planning this romantic date for a couple of
weeks, I really want to impress her with my style but I don't know how. I
don't even own a suit; my daily wardrobe consists of jeans and T-shirts. I really
need your help.

Dear Man in Need of Advice,
I have to say I'm kind of happy that you don't own a suit at this moment,
because a suit is every man's safe haven. Every time you need to dress up you
don't have to wear a suit, they're uncomfortable therefore making you uncomfortable.
There are plenty of ways to incorporate your style, whether it be
rocker, prep, sporty in with dressing up. There are five essentials that I think
every man should have in his closet.
1. A blazer in a neutral color
2. V-neck T-shirts
3. A pair of decent slacks
4. A cardigan
5. A pair of shoes, which you could wear with a suit or a casual outfit.
If you don't own any of these, going shopping is number one on your list.
Now for the perfect outfit to impress your special lady, since you said that
you are a jeans and T-shirt kind of guy I would suggest that maybe you try a
V-neck T-shirt with a fitted blazer, a pair of dark wash jeans with some tennis
shoes for your footwear, and presto the perfect outfit to impress your lady and
maybe a few others. If that option doesn't work for you then I would suggest
a pair of khaki slacks which are very in this season, a graphic tee, but make
sure it's not something corny, maybe a rock T-shirt or something, and then
some loafers. The good thing about these two styles is that you can still be
young, hip and impress without having to wear a stuffy suit.Also, you can incorporate
pieces of the outfits in your everyday wear. I hope your girlfriend
is impressed.
