Q. Who are you?
A. Hello, my name is Eric Stein and I'm a freshman this year at UW-Waukesha. I attended Waukesha West for four years before coming to UW-Waukesha.
Q. How many classes are you currently enrolled in at UW-Waukesha this semester?
A. I'm currently in six classes. ENG 101, HES 206, MAT 091, LEA 101, POL 104, and LEC 100. I also have thought about declaring a criminal justice major.
Q. What's one thing that you like about UW-Waukesha?
A. I really like that it's close to home and I have a few friends that I went to high school that are here. I also like the devotion that all the professors have towards their students. It feels good knowing that the teachers really care about every student in their class.
Q. What's your favorite thing about UW-Waukesha?
A. I really like the laid back atmosphere here. I like how in the classroom you can get down to business, listen, and get your work done, but outside you can really just relax around campus and enjoy college. It's a great feeling not having all the pressure that you typically hear about college.
Q. If you could change one thing about UW-Waukesha what would it be?
A. As bad as this may sound I would change the food. I feel like its expensive and to be honest there's food in there that's not all too good. Another thing that I would like to change would be no smoking on campus. It's almost impossible not to die of smoke inhalation when you walk on the bridge towards Northview.
Q. How do you feel about the student body as a whole here at UW-Waukesha?
A. I like it a lot. I like that you don't know everybody. There are lots of kind people here. I also like that there's no ‘cool' kid clique here. Coming from my high school where my friends and I weren't exactly the coolest kid in the school, everybody at UW-Waukesha is very nice, friendly, and outgoing.
Q. Do you think that UW-Waukesha is a good school for kids coming out of high school or anybody who is interested in college? And would you recommend it to others?
A. I think that it's a great college and a great place to try to declare your major and figure out what you would like to do in life. Also this is a great place to save money for kids who don't want to spend $100,000 for one year of college.
